Latest
PPS Features
Since
the last newsletter, there have been more than 100 new features
included in PPS! Proof that we listen to your ideas and do something
about it. There are also many more enhancements in the pipeline,
so keep your ideas coming in. Here's a summary of some of the
new features.
Clinical
Notes
There
are some exciting new features to our clinical notes “Consultation”
screens. We now have a greatly enhanced consultation history
section and preview has been introduced.
Symbols
and Text sets
You
can now use symbols and standard text entries in your clinical
notes. This means that you can build a structured list of standard
text entries (including sub-entries) to make your clinical note
taking even faster. You can also build a list of standard symbols
to use – these can be graphical symbols that to-date you were
only able to use in your note taking by hand.
New
Reports Available
A
new detailed “Appointment Statistics” report has been added
- Check out the new reports on the Reports menu in the new version.
Document
Scanning
You
are now able to scan documents and save them with your client
details directly from within PPS - no more scanning, saving
and attaching in three separate steps! Simply open your PPS
client log, go to attach a document, click the scan button and
let PPS do the rest.
Activity
Templates
We
have added a new category system to allow you to group your
templates into different "types". This makes looking
for the right template when sending a letter or an e-mail much
easier.

2007
SCP Conference - Harrogate
This
year we had an exhibition stand at the 2007 SCP Conference.
This conference is for Chiropodists and Podiatrists and was
attended by more than 1200 delegates.
The
conference was held at the international Centre in Harrogate
- a superb venue with excellent exhibition halls and conference
facilities. Conferences are always a good opportunity to meet
existing PPS users and to be able to chat with those who may
be considering using PPS in their practice.
We
had a very busy few days with a great deal of interest in PPS.
Needless to say we have already booked to appear at next year's
conference, which is being held in Bournemouth.

| Look
out for us at future conferences and exhibitions. We will
also be appearing at the GOsC Osteopathy conference in London,
February 2008, and we will again be at the PhysioFirst conference
in Nottingham, April 2008. |

Employee
Focus
Richard
Bourne - Software Development
Richard
has recently joined us in November 2007. He joins our Software
Development team.
Richard
is a BSc (Hons) graduate from Birmingham's Aston University
in Computing for Business. He will be involved in all aspects
of software development with us including a range of exciting
new developments to our web site.
Richard
has already settled in well - he has mastered the office coffee
machine already although he is still fairly well down the leader
board in office basketball hoop-shooting!
Outside
work Richard enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, keeping
fit, and is a part-time astronaut (I think he may be making
this bit up!). He has also developed a web site for his previous
"vacation job" employer - "The Yard" Bar
and Restaurant.
I'm
sure you will join us in welcoming Richard to our team!
| Did
you Know? If you look up into the sky at sunrise (from
the UK) towards the south-east, you will see a bright star
- the only one in the sky This is the Space Station! Richard
says if you wave to it at the weekend he will wave back! |
