Clinic-based - "PPS Desktop"
The clinic-based version of PPS is where the software and database are installed locally to your own PC or network.
Using PPS in this way does not depend upon an Internet connection as you are installing the software and database locally.
You are responsible for backing up the database and in the case of running PPS on your network for several users to access, you are also responsible for making sure that your local network is running efficiently.
Clinic-based PPS will run on a Windows™ network. You can use this version of PPS on a Mac computer provided that the Mac is running Windows Emulation software.
When you purchase the clinic-based version of PPS you can either pay a one-off licence fee plus an annual "care package" fee, or you can pay a simple monthly fee with minimal or no set up costs.
PPS Online
PPS Online is a great way to get started with PPS with minimal outlay and complete peace of mind.
PPS Online is exactly the same software package as the clinic-based version, but we host the database and the software on one of our secure online servers. There is no software to install locally. Instead you use a simple "remote connection" icon on your desktop to log on to PPS on our server. This type of connection does not provide an additional Windows desktop, you log straight in to the PPS software and use it just as though it were running locally.
PPS Online can also be run directly from a Mac computer and also can be run directly from your iPhone, iPad or netbook - ideal for those on the move!
When you purchase PPS Online you will pay a simple monthly fee with a minimal set up cost and no minimum contract.
PPS Remote
PPS Remote is a great add-on to your PPS System that allows you to access your patient details and your diary whilst on the move.
In addition it is also a full web-based way of accessing your patient records and diary. It is widely used by call handling companies who take diverted calls from the clinic.
PPS Remote can be run directly from any browser device including PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad or netbook - ideal for those on the move!
When you purchase PPS Remote you will pay a simple monthly fee with a minimal set up cost and no minimum contract.
Combination Solutions
For total flexibility you can combine any of our PPS solutions to provide the best overall system solution for your requirements.
This means that you can have one or more clinic-based PPS systems and a PPS Online system that work seamlessly together - all your records are constantly synchronised in the background.
All of our solutions also work seamlessly with PPS Remote and PPS Online Booking.
